Technical Training Manager – Drainage

About the role
The Technical Training Manager will support Metro Rod’s franchise network across the UK by delivering expert technical guidance and high‑quality training to engineers and operational teams. This full‑time permanent role involves hands‑on support for drainage maintenance, CCTV surveying, high‑pressure water jetting, drain rehabilitation, tanker operations and new installations.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical and operational support to franchise offices nationwide.
- Deliver practical and classroom‑based training covering HPWJ, CCTV surveying, drain rehabilitation, replacement, tanker operations and installations.
- Promote and maintain best‑practice standards across all operational activities.
- Conduct audits and monitor compliance with health‑and‑safety legislation and internal procedures.
- Identify operational improvements and introduce new technologies, equipment and techniques.
- Assist franchisees with quotations, technical guidance and business development opportunities.
- Travel regularly across the UK, including overnight stays, to meet franchise needs.
Required profile
- Proven experience in drainage services or related technical fields.
- Strong ability to deliver both practical and classroom training.
- Excellent knowledge of health‑and‑safety regulations and audit processes.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work on‑site with franchise teams.

What we offer
- Up to £50,000 salary (DOE)
- Full‑time permanent contract – 37.5 hours per week
