Technician – Maintenance & Continuous Improvement

About the role

We are looking for a multi‑skilled Technician to join our Facilities Operations team at the Nuneaton distribution centre. Working on a rotating shift pattern, you will deliver preventative, reactive and continuous‑improvement maintenance for a range of control and handling equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to equipment failure calls, prioritising tasks to maximise resource use.
• Perform routine planned maintenance and servicing on all MHE and related plant.
• Carry out first‑response repairs on mechanical handling equipment and building services breakdowns.
• Apply Failure Analysis or Root Cause Analysis to incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records in the Agility PPM and stores systems, updating parts usage and stock levels.
• Oversee external contractors, ensuring competence and compliance with H&S regulations.
• Support installation, commissioning and trial activities as directed.

Required profile

• Electrically strong candidate with a solid understanding of control and handling equipment.
• Ability to work rotating shifts (6‑2, 2‑10, Monday‑Friday) and adapt to operational priorities.
• Commitment to health & safety standards and continuous improvement.
• Willingness to identify training needs and develop new technical skills.
