Technology Lead – Treasury Management

About the role

PIMCO is seeking a Technology Lead for Treasury Management to drive the strategy, architecture and delivery of its treasury technology ecosystem. The role partners with portfolio managers, investment operations, risk and external partners to enable efficient cash and collateral management, funding optimization and workflow automation. This senior position will modernize core treasury capabilities and deliver scalable, data‑driven solutions supporting global buy‑side operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the technology roadmap for treasury applications and integrations.
• Architect end‑to‑end solutions and drive modernization through APIs, automation, cloud services and data‑driven capabilities.
• Lead engineering teams and vendors through design, development, testing, delivery and support of treasury platforms.
• Oversee enhancements, implementation and optimisation ensuring security, performance, scalability and resiliency.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions in collaboration with Treasury, Finance, Compliance and Risk.
• Serve as strategic advisor to Treasury leadership, managing stakeholder and vendor relationships, project priorities, budgets and resource plans.
• Promote DevOps best practices and application monitoring to ensure operational excellence.

Required profile

• Senior technology leader with proven experience delivering complex financial systems.
• Deep understanding of treasury, cash, collateral and funding processes.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence senior business partners.
• Track record of leading engineering teams and managing external vendors.
