Technology Procurement Lead

About the role

This senior leadership position within JD Group Procurement is responsible for all technology procurement activity across the organisation. The role reports to the Procurement Director UK & Europe and works closely with the CTO and technology leadership team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Infrastructure and Professional Services category and provide strategic direction for Digital (SaaS & Digital) procurement.
• Act as the primary commercial interface for the CTO, advising on supplier strategy, commercial risk and investment decisions.
• Develop and maintain the technology procurement pipeline, ensuring visibility of renewals, re‑tenders and new requirements.
• Partner with Finance, Legal and Sustainability teams to embed savings, manage risk and support ESG goals.
• Manage and coach the Procurement Manager – Digital and the Technology Supplier Relationship Manager.

Required profile

• Extensive commercial experience in fast‑paced omni‑channel retail or similar technology‑focused environments.
• Proven ability to influence C‑suite stakeholders and drive change in ambiguous settings.
• Strong analytical mindset with a data‑driven approach to margin improvement.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship‑building skills.

• Experience with RFP processes, supplier evaluation frameworks and contract management.
