Telecommunications Engineer – Hybrid, Glasgow

About the role

We are seeking a Telecommunications Engineer to join our team on a three‑year fixed‑term basis. Working hybrid from Glasgow, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning and maintaining a variety of telecom and network infrastructure across customer sites throughout Scotland.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain and fault‑find telecom and network systems on‑site.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, upgrades and repairs to ensure reliability and performance.
• Perform site surveys, testing, diagnostics and commissioning, producing accurate technical documentation.
• Collaborate with customers, project managers and engineering teams to deliver projects safely, on time and to quality standards.
• Adhere to company procedures, health & safety legislation and industry best practice.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Telecommunications, Communications or Network Engineer in a field‑based role.
• Strong knowledge of fibre‑optic, voice, data and industrial communications systems.
• Demonstrated ability to install, commission, test and diagnose faults in critical infrastructure environments.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities, with the capacity to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Scotland.
