Telecoms Installation Engineer – Field Based

About the role

We are seeking a Telecoms Installation Engineer to join a fast‑growing telecom provider. You will deliver high‑quality installations and technical support for business customers across cloud communications, networking and structured cabling projects.

Key responsibilities

• Install and terminate CAT5e/CAT6 structured cabling.
• Deploy and configure hosted/VoIP telephone systems.
• Install Wi‑Fi access points and set up wireless networks.
• Configure managed switches and routers.
• Diagnose and resolve telecom and network faults.
• Provide occasional remote technical support and service‑desk cover.
• Complete installation documentation and update CRM/ticketing systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience with telecom or network installations.
• Strong customer‑facing communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a field‑based role.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel regularly to the Southampton office.
