Telecoms Network Operations Coordinator

About the role

Electricom Group, which delivers nationwide logistics and electrical services, is hiring a full-time, on-site Telecoms Network Operations Coordinator in Glasgow. The role coordinates day-to-day telecoms network operations and support activities, working closely with field engineers and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and log and track incidents
• Liaise with field engineers and suppliers
• Support the scheduling of maintenance and upgrades to minimise service disruption
• Maintain accurate documentation and update configuration records
• Ensure work orders and tickets are managed in line with operational procedures and service-level agreements
• Communicate with internal teams and clients, give timely updates on network issues and help prioritise tasks by impact and urgency
• Assist with small-scale project coordination, report on key operational metrics and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and tools

Required profile

• Strong network administration skills, including monitoring, basic troubleshooting and understanding of telecoms network infrastructure
• Solid analytical skills to interpret network data, identify trends and support data-driven decisions
• Excellent communication and customer service skills for working with technical teams and giving clear updates to clients and stakeholders
• Project management skills such as task prioritisation, scheduling and coordinating resources across multiple activities
• Relevant experience in telecoms, IT or network operations is highly beneficial
• Knowledge of industry-standard ticketing and monitoring systems and common office software is an advantage
• A relevant technical or operations qualification, certification or equivalent practical experience is desirable
