Telecoms & SCADA Engineer – Offshore Wind

About the role

We are seeking a Telecoms & SCADA Engineer to join a leading offshore wind developer in the UK. The role involves supporting the installation, commissioning and ongoing operation of telecom and SCADA systems on offshore wind turbines and associated infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot telecom and SCADA issues while offshore and provide daily progress reports.
• Review and comment on contractor documentation such as WMS, RAMS, ITPs and ITRs.
• Plan, manage and remediate telecom/SCADA punch‑list items.
• Oversee contractor commissioning activities, including witnessing and monitoring.
• Manage DBK telecom spare parts, including network switches and fibre patch leads.
• Act as the offshore point of contact for DBK telecom support.
• Support installation of temporary LTE in towers and assist with configuration of Equinor network switches.
• Conduct signal testing during turbine and GIS energisation and support TETRA base‑station integration.
• Perform pre‑configuration of network switches for on‑shore, offshore and nacelle locations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in telecoms and SCADA within industrial or offshore environments.
• Strong troubleshooting capability across network and SCADA systems.
• Ability to work independently offshore and adhere to health & safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with contractors, IT and commissioning teams.
