About the role
This temporary position supports a busy finance team near Chelmsford, reporting directly to the Financial Controller. You will be responsible for maintaining the purchase ledger and ensuring timely, accurate payments to suppliers.
Key responsibilities
- Process high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Match, batch, and code invoices for payment.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare and execute payment runs.
- Handle supplier queries promptly and professionally.
- Provide ad‑hoc support to the wider finance team as required.
Required profile
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger role.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high‑volume work.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach.
- Ability to hit the ground running in a fast‑paced environment.
