Temporary Computer Science Lecturer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Computer Science Lecturer for temporary assignments across Further Education colleges in Liverpool. The role offers flexibility and the chance to inspire learners at various levels, from introductory to advanced computing courses.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons.
• Teach across a range of levels and abilities, covering programming, software development, networking and cybersecurity.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress in line with college requirements.
• Provide constructive feedback and academic support to help learners achieve their goals.
• Maintain accurate teaching records and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or qualification in Computer Science, Computing, IT or related field.
• Teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training.
• Experience teaching Computer Science in Further Education, Higher Education, secondary or adult learning settings.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
