Temporary Credit Controller – 1 month contract

About the role

Talent Guardian is seeking a temporary Credit Controller to join its fast‑growing UK finance team for a one‑month assignment. The role is based in Frimley and focuses on managing customer debt, cash collection and supporting broader accounts‑receivable activities.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively chase overdue customer balances via phone and email.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage timely payment.
• Send statements and resolve invoice queries efficiently.
• Accurately allocate customer receipts and keep AR ledgers up to date.
• Escalate high‑risk or long‑overdue debt where appropriate.
• Support month‑end reporting and reconciliations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of credit control processes.

Required profile

• Previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable.
• Confident communicator, especially when chasing debt by phone.
• Organised, resilient and able to have firm but professional conversations.
• Strong attention to detail and follow‑up discipline.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment and eager to develop finance skills.

Required skills

• Sage 200 (desirable).
• Shopify or other e‑commerce platforms (beneficial).
