Temporary Credit Controller – South Essex

About the role
We are seeking a Temporary Credit Controller to join a well‑established finance team in South Essex on a six‑month contract. Working on‑site, you will report to the Financial Controller and help maintain a healthy cash flow by managing the sales ledger and collecting outstanding debts.
Key responsibilities
- Chase overdue invoices by phone and email.
- Allocate incoming payments and reconcile accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to resolve queries.
- Produce aged debt reports and update senior management.
- Support the wider finance team with ad‑hoc tasks.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar finance role.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Own transport and a valid driver’s licence.
Required skills
- Good knowledge of Excel.
