Temporary Finance Accountant (Part-Qualified) – £40k

About the role

This temporary, part‑qualified finance accountant position is based in Kingston Upon Thames and offers a hybrid working pattern (three days in the office). It is ideal for a junior professional studying or holding an AAT, ACCA or CIMA qualification who wants hands‑on experience across a full finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Manage credit control and accounts receivable, chase overdue invoices and maintain customer records.
• Handle daily bank receipts, perform multi‑currency reconciliations and support cash forecasting.
• Process sales invoices and generate customer statements using Business Central 365.
• Process and reconcile supplier invoices, prepare aged creditor reports and ensure payment approvals.
• Assist with supplier payment runs, payroll processing and quarterly VAT returns.
• Support month‑end close activities and maintain accurate financial records for audit.

Required profile

• Currently studying for or already holding an AAT, ACCA, CIMA or similar qualification.
• Some prior finance or bookkeeping experience is desirable.
• Motivated, detail‑oriented and eager to develop accounting skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems, particularly Dynamics 365/Business Central 365.
