Temporary Finance Assistant – Basildon

About the role

Join a fast‑paced, process‑driven finance team supporting a leading automotive business near Basildon. This temporary, full‑time position offers a three‑month contract where precision and speed are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Bank reconciliation of vehicle sales, service transactions and supplier payments.
• Posting payments, including customer deposits, supplier invoices and internal transfers.
• Reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies across multiple ledgers.
• High‑volume data entry of bank transactions into finance systems.
• Supporting month‑end processes and collaborating with finance and operations teams.

Required profile

• Experience in finance or accounts, ideally within retail, automotive or other transactional environments.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• Comfortable using Excel and finance software.
• Team player who thrives in a busy, structured setting.
