Temporary Full‑time PE Teacher at Secondary School

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a qualified Physical Education teacher to cover a short‑term planned absence at a large secondary school on the outskirts of Chester. The position starts on 14 September and is expected to run for 6‑8 weeks, delivering female PE across Key Stages 3 to 5.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging theory and practical PE lessons for female students (KS3‑KS5).
• Manage changing room duties and ensure a safe, supportive environment.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with the wider teaching team to align PE curriculum with school objectives.

Required profile

• Qualified PE teacher with the right to work in the UK (passport or birth certificate).
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check (cost reimbursed).
• Ability to hit the ground running and adapt quickly to the school’s routines.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of PE theory and practical instruction.
• Effective classroom management and student engagement techniques.
