Temporary Healthcare Assistant (HCA) – Flexible Shifts in Stevenage

About the role

We are seeking compassionate Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) for temporary assignments across Hertfordshire, Essex and London. The role offers flexible full‑time, part‑time, day, night or weekend shifts to match your availability.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality personal care and support to patients and service users.
• Assist with daily living activities such as washing, dressing and mobility.
• Monitor and record observations when required.
• Support nursing and clinical teams in delivering patient care.
• Promote dignity, independence and wellbeing at all times.
• Maintain accurate records and follow care plans.
• Adhere to safeguarding, infection control and health & safety procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months UK experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker or Care Assistant.
• Caring, professional and patient‑focused attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS (assistance available if needed).
• Mandatory & statutory practical training (assistance available for renewals).
