Temporary Housing Officer – Glasgow

About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of a well‑established housing association in Glasgow for a temporary Housing Officer. This full‑time, fixed‑term position lasts a minimum of three months and offers the chance to make a tangible difference in the local community.

Key responsibilities

• Manage tenancy administration, rent arrears, allocations, voids and estate maintenance.
• Provide high‑quality customer service through home visits, tenant advice and handling complaints.
• Build and maintain relationships with tenants, contractors, local authorities and partner agencies.
• Ensure compliance with tenancy agreements, statutory inspections and housing legislation.
• Identify and report repairs, environmental issues and support community initiatives.
• Contribute to estate budgeting, performance targets and continuous service improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in housing management or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
• Commitment to the values of caring, openness and respect.
• Relevant degree or qualification in housing, social work or a related discipline (preferred).
• Evidence of continuous professional development in housing management (preferred).
