Temporary IT Technician – Newcastle (3‑6 months)

About the role

Our client is looking for a Temporary IT Technician to join a hybrid workplace in Newcastle city centre. You will be the first point of contact for users, providing day‑to‑day support for Microsoft 365 and related collaboration tools during a 3‑6 month contract.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Microsoft 365 user accounts, password resets, distribution groups and shared mailboxes.
• Provide first‑line support via the ticketing system, escalating complex issues to third‑party specialists.
• Provision new corporate laptops and enrol Android devices using Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.
• Troubleshoot access and sync problems in Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
• Monitor endpoint security compliance with Microsoft Defender and Sophos.
• Document resolutions and deliver basic training on M365 tools to non‑technical staff.

Required profile

• Basic experience troubleshooting Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft 365 suite and introductory use of the M365 Admin Centre.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and clear communication skills.
