About the role
This temporary, full‑time position supports the Housing service at Northumberland County Council’s County Hall in Morpeth. You will work on a variety of manual tasks that keep housing projects running smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Assist tradespeople with routine maintenance and repair work across council housing properties.
- Transport tools, materials and equipment to and from work sites.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment in line with health‑and‑safety standards.
- Follow instructions from senior staff and report any issues promptly.
Required profile
- Available to start on 25 May 2026 and commit to a temporary full‑time schedule.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willing to undertake DBS checks and any required training.
