About the role
This rewarding position empowers young people with learning difficulties or disabilities to build confidence, independence and ambition. You will join a supportive, passionate team that believes every young person deserves to thrive and achieve their goals, with comprehensive role‑specific training from day one.
Key responsibilities
- Assist and support teaching staff in a range of educational activities on and off the College premises.
- Support the development of curriculum for students with special educational needs.
- Supervise groups of students to aid cognitive development and oversee practical areas such as recreation and outdoor facilities.
- Assist in teaching Foundation Learning skills and share responsibility for supervising students during visits and external learning situations.
- Attend meetings, complete mandatory training, and help at the College’s Open Evenings and Consultation Evenings.
Required profile
- Commit to contributing positively to the Catholic ethos, Equality, Diversity & Policy and the pursuit of excellence within the College.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to professional development and health & safety responsibilities.
