Temporary Maintenance Technician / Handyman – Chester

About the role

We are seeking a reliable temporary Maintenance Technician/Handyman to join a leading property company at a student accommodation site in Chester. The role is on‑site, full‑time and offers a stable hourly rate with tools provided.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out reactive repairs and maintenance, including basic plumbing, joinery and carpentry.
• Perform flushing of vacant apartments and address snagging issues.
• Undertake painting, decorating and minor decorating tasks.
• Move furniture and heavy items safely throughout the building.
• Manage waste disposal, bin collection and basic grounds work.
• Conduct preventive maintenance (PPM) checks as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in residential repairs or general building work.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Awareness of health and safety standards.
• Positive attitude, initiative and a professional manner.
