Temporary Management Accountant – Exeter

About the role

This is a temporary Management Accountant position supporting a fast‑growing business on the outskirts of Exeter. The role runs until the end of October, providing continuity while a permanent accountant completes their notice period. You will work closely with the Financial Controller and senior leadership to keep the finance function operating smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts
• Complete balance‑sheet reconciliations, accruals and pre‑payments
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Monitor cash‑flow and produce related analysis
• Assist with statutory returns and year‑end reporting
• Oversee credit control and supplier payment processes
• Produce financial reports and commercial analysis
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and controls
• Partner with operational managers and stakeholders across the organisation

Required profile

• Proven experience in a finance role with management accounting responsibilities
• Ability to produce month‑end information with minimal supervision
• Qualified accountant, part‑qualified ACCA/CIMA, or experienced Management Accountant
• Strong attention to detail and proactive, hands‑on approach
