Temporary Management Accountant

About the role

Trial Balance Consulting is supporting a well‑established business in Callington during a busy period. The temporary Management Accountant will work closely with senior leadership, producing management information and ensuring smooth finance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts
• Record accruals, pre‑payments and journal entries
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations
• Support budgeting and forecasting
• Conduct variance analysis and reporting
• Monitor and report cash flow
• Assist with year‑end procedures and audit preparation
• Produce ad‑hoc financial reports and analysis
• Contribute to wider finance projects as required

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Management Accountant with strong month‑end accounting
• Ability to work autonomously and quickly adapt to an existing finance function
• Excellent analytical ability and attention to detail
• Immediate availability and willingness to roll up sleeves from day one

• Microsoft Excel

What we offer

• Salary £35,000‑£45,000 per annum
• Flexible full‑time or part‑time (four or five‑day week)
• On‑site role in Callington for 2‑3 months
