Temporary Marketing & Communications Officer – Newcastle City Centre

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Marketing & Communications Officer to provide temporary sickness cover for a well‑established organisation in Newcastle City Centre. The role is full‑time, initially for one month, with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, design and distribute e‑newsletters using DotDigital.
• Create, schedule and monitor social media content via Hootsuite.
• Design creative assets for digital and print campaigns using Canva.
• Write engaging copy for e‑newsletters, social media, website and internal/external communications.
• Upload and maintain website content on WordPress.
• Support wider marketing and communications projects as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Marketing, Communications or Digital Marketing role.
• Strong copywriting and content creation abilities.
• Hands‑on experience with DotDigital, Hootsuite, Canva and WordPress.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, confident and able to work independently.
