Temporary Nursery Nurse – Early Years Practitioner

About the role

This temporary position offers a rewarding opportunity to work in a vibrant nursery environment in Wimbledon. You will support the delivery of age‑appropriate activities and help create a safe, nurturing setting for young children.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to a programme of activities suitable for the children’s age range, working alongside other staff.
• Support colleagues and collaborate as part of a cohesive team.
• Liaise with parents and family members, providing updates and assistance.
• Attend out‑of‑hours events such as training sessions, staff meetings, parent evenings, and nursery celebrations.
• Assist with domestic tasks including snack preparation and equipment cleaning.
• Work with the manager to uphold the nursery’s educational philosophy.
• Record any accidents in the accident book.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification in childcare or a strong interest in pursuing a career in early years education.
• Passionate about supporting children’s development.
• Flexible and willing to adapt to varying working practices.
• Good communication skills for interacting with staff and families.
