Temporary Ocean Import Coordinator – Immediate Start

About the role

Our client, a well‑established freight forwarding business in Liverpool, is looking for a Temporary Ocean Import Coordinator to start immediately. This six‑month contract will support the busy import team in delivering seamless ocean shipments for a diverse customer base.

Key responsibilities

• Manage ocean import shipments from origin through to final delivery.
• Liaise with overseas agents, shipping lines, hauliers and customers to coordinate movements.
• Monitor shipment milestones, update customers proactively and resolve any issues.
• Prepare accurate import documentation and ensure compliance with customs regulations.
• Process customs‑related information and coordinate clearance activities.
• Raise files, invoice and maintain precise operational records.

Required profile

• Previous experience in freight forwarding, specifically ocean imports.
• Strong understanding of end‑to‑end import processes and customs procedures.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with shipping lines, agents and customs authorities.
• Excellent organisational skills and capacity to handle multiple shipments simultaneously.
