Temporary Operations Support Officer – Housing

About the role

This 6‑week temporary assignment supports a busy housing team in delivering high‑quality management services. You will handle a varied caseload, ensuring processes are accurate, efficient and compliant with statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end administration of mutual exchanges, ensuring legislative compliance.
• Support letting of vacant homes, including advertising, processing nominations and preparing tenancy documents.
• Administer tenancy changes such as successions, joint tenancies and household amendments.
• Maintain accurate records and update housing management systems.
• Respond to resident enquiries via phone, email, written correspondence and face‑to‑face.
• Liaise with residents, contractors and external stakeholders to resolve queries.
• Provide general administrative assistance to the wider housing management team.
• Contribute ideas for service improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• At least 12 months experience in social housing.
• Previous administrative experience in a busy office environment.
• Strong IT proficiency, especially Microsoft Office and database systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• High attention to detail and a proactive, flexible approach.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
