Temporary Part Time Retail Assistant – Kew

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Temporary Part‑Time Retail Assistant to join our client’s shop in Kew. The role involves supporting daily store operations on a rota basis, with a focus on delivering excellent service to customers and volunteers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain professional service standards when interacting with customers and volunteers.
• Organise and price donations using appropriate systems.
• Replenish stock and keep the shop floor tidy and presentable.
• Process sales transactions, handling both cash and card payments.
• Act as a reliable point of contact for the volunteer team.
• Manage rotas and ensure all shifts are covered.
• Assist the Store Manager with reasonable administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills.
• A positive attitude that helps motivate a team.
• Experience working in a retail environment.
• Experience in stock control and cash handling.
• Availability to work weekends.
• Valid DBS check.

What we offer

• £14.24 per hour plus holiday pay.
• Flexible rota totalling approximately 17.5 hours per week.
