Temporary QHSE Lead

About the role

This temporary position (3‑6 months) leads the coordination and continual improvement of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental activities for an international engineering consultancy. Reporting to the Group QHSE Manager, you will work across the UK, France, Belgium and Italy to ensure compliance and promote a positive safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the Integrated Management System across the Group.
• Lead internal audit programmes and support external certification audits.
• Maintain compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Provide day‑to‑day health and safety support for office, hybrid and remote work environments.
• Coordinate workplace risk assessments, DSE assessments and office inspections.
• Oversee mandatory training requirements and ensure training compliance.
• Support incident reporting, investigations and corrective‑action management.
• Monitor QHSE performance, prepare KPI analysis and management reporting.
• Maintain QHSE policies, procedures and guidance documentation.
• Assist with emergency preparedness and business continuity initiatives.
• Collaborate with operational, engineering, HR and business support teams to drive continuous improvement.
