About the role
The Supply Register Ltd is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support classrooms across Cornwall on a temporary basis. You will work closely with teachers to help deliver lessons and provide additional support to students, including those with special educational needs.
Key responsibilities
- Assist teachers with lesson delivery, resource preparation, and classroom activities.
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to pupils who need extra help.
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations for SEN students.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and promote an inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and support professionals to ensure smooth classroom operation.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar support role (preferred but not essential).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting student learning.
- Flexibility to work across different year groups and classroom settings.
- Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are advantageous.
