Temporary Treasury/Finance Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a temporary Treasury/Finance Assistant to support the finance team of a well‑established company in Redcar. This full‑time, on‑site role lasts a minimum of three to six months and offers exposure to a broad range of treasury and accounting activities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily cash positions and assist with short‑term cash‑flow forecasting.
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements, resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Process payments including supplier invoices, payroll and inter‑company transfers.
• Maintain banking documentation and support the opening, closing and management of bank accounts.
• Assist with company credit‑card administration, expense claims and treasury records.
• Produce treasury reports for senior management covering cash movements, balances and variance analysis.
• Support compliance with internal controls, company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with internal teams and external banking partners and contribute to process improvements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or Finance Assistant role.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Confidence with reconciliations and basic financial analysis.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, on‑site environment.
• Availability for a minimum three‑month assignment.
