Terminal Operator

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Terminal Operator to join our cement terminal in Leith, Edinburgh. You will play a vital part in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of bulk storage and loading equipment, supporting the delivery of high‑quality cement to our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor bulk storage, unloading and loading plant and equipment.
• Assist with safe off‑loading of cement deliveries from vessels.
• Carry out daily inspections, routine checks and basic maintenance of equipment.
• Ensure full compliance with health and safety procedures and regulations.
• Complete documentation checks and load inspections before dispatch.
• Collect and prepare production samples.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and site cleanliness.
• Support overall terminal and depot operations to meet production targets.

Required profile

• Experience operating loading shovels, FLT or similar equipment.
• Background working with plant machinery in a production, manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong awareness of health and safety standards and ability to follow safe working practices.
• Valid driving licence.
• Hands‑on, reliable approach with a strong work ethic.
