Territory Sales Representative – Joinery Solutions

About the role

Join Howdens Joinery as a Territory Sales Representative and take ownership of growing the trade customer base across your assigned area. This field‑based position involves building relationships with trade customers, winning new business and turning conversations into long‑term partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively approach prospective trade customers and convert opportunities into new accounts.
• Develop and nurture existing accounts, supporting depot performance and increasing spend.
• Introduce new customers to the Howdens model, clearly explaining its benefits.
• Collaborate with depot teams to drive frequent trading and achieve sales targets.
• Manage customer enquiries from first contact through to resolution.
• Maintain accurate data on activity and pipeline, ensuring visibility across the territory.
• Participate in team meetings, sharing insights, performance updates and ideas.
• Work safely and comply with health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Proven track record in winning new business or thriving in a target‑driven sales environment.
• Confident communicator who can engage trade customers from the first conversation.
• Self‑motivated, resilient and driven to succeed.
• Ability to quickly build product and service knowledge in joinery and hardware.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Full UK driving licence.
