Test Centre Associate – Part‑time (Southend)

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Test Centre Associate to join our Southend‑on‑Sea driving theory test centre. You will play a key part in delivering secure, high‑quality theory and hazard‑perception exams for new drivers, ensuring a smooth experience for every candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to candidates throughout the testing process.
• Verify candidate identification documents and record bookings in the centre’s system.
• Supervise and invigilate theory and hazard‑perception tests, maintaining test integrity.
• Explain test procedures, answer queries and support candidates as needed.
• Carry out opening and closing duties, including daily centre checks.
• Report any incidents or irregularities that could affect test outcomes.

Required profile

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow strict procedural guidelines and maintain confidentiality.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and occasional nights.

Required skills

• Attention to detail and ability to spot irregularities.
• Basic computer literacy for using the centre’s booking system.
