Test Electrician (Training on Renewables)

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Test Electrician to join a specialist water‑saving company operating across central London. The role provides a gateway into the renewables sector, with full training on PLC‑controlled rain‑water recycling systems and a clear progression path to Service Engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Service, install and maintain rain‑water harvesting and recycling equipment on commercial and industrial sites.
• Carry out planned preventative work (3 weeks per month) and reactive work (1 week per month) within the M25 area.
• Undertake fault‑finding and troubleshooting of PLC‑controlled systems.
• Participate in funded training courses, including ECS Card progression to Gold Card and SSSTS.

Required profile

• Qualified Electrician or similar with a City & Guilds 2391 Test & Inspection certificate.
• Valid ECS card and UK driving licence.
• Willingness to work field‑based across the M25 region.

Required skills

• City & Guilds 2391 Test & Inspection qualification.
• Experience or training in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• ECS card certification.
