Test Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Software Test Engineer to join a fast‑growing technology team that powers a market‑leading clinical imaging platform for global clinical trials. Working in a hybrid setting (average two days per week on‑site in London) and within an Agile environment, you will help ensure the platform’s reliability, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute exploratory, functional and regression test suites across multiple software features.
• Create detailed test cases and scripts derived from business requirements.
• Analyse test outcomes, log defects accurately and collaborate with developers, analysts and scientists to resolve issues.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement and feature discussions, providing testing expertise throughout the development lifecycle.
• Identify gaps in requirements and propose improvements to enhance software quality.
• Support the evolution of testing processes, automation practices and scalable testing methodologies.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science or related discipline, or equivalent commercial experience.
• Commercial experience designing and executing software tests.
• Proven ability to investigate, diagnose and resolve software defects.
• Experience creating exploratory test scenarios from business requirements.
• Familiarity with Playwright for automated end‑to‑end and regression testing.
• Experience using AI‑assisted development tools such as Claude Code or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
