Test Engineer

About the role

The Test Engineer will provide lab‑based testing expertise for new medical devices, ensuring products meet specifications before market release. This role reports to the Formulation Science Manager and works within a regulated medical‑device environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute test protocols for new devices from concept to clinical‑trial readiness.
• Document test results, analyse data and produce clear reports for internal review.
• Test incoming materials and competitor products, providing detailed reports.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with GLP and safety standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align testing requirements with project targets.

Required profile

• HNC/HND in a technical subject with proven experience in a similar testing role.
• Strong scientific or engineering background and excellent report‑writing abilities.
• Computer literate, proficient with data manipulation tools such as MS Excel; familiarity with statistical packages (e.g., MiniTab) is desirable.
• Knowledge of good laboratory practice (GLP) and, preferably, medical adhesives.
