Test Technician

About the role
Technical Futures Ltd is seeking a competent Test Technician to join its production team in North Cambridge. You will work on the electro‑opto‑mechanical assembly and testing of mission‑critical imaging and security systems.
Key responsibilities
- Assemble and test mechanical, optical and electronic components.
- Perform component‑level fault finding, debugging and documentation.
- Maintain clean‑room standards during assembly processes.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
Required profile
- Engineering qualification or equivalent industrial experience.
- Strong attention to detail and proven troubleshooting ability.
- Experience in high‑tech electronics or mechanical manufacturing environments.
Required skills
- Electro‑mechanical assembly techniques.
- Opto‑mechanical assembly techniques.
- Soldering and wiring.
- Cable/harness assembly.
- PCB repair.
- Fault‑finding and debugging.
- Clean‑room techniques.
- Reading schematics.
- Basic use of mechanical design software.
