Theatre Manager – Clinical Operations

About the role

Ramsay Health Care UK is seeking a Theatre Manager to provide clinical and operational leadership for a busy multi‑disciplinary theatre team at Springfield Hospital, Chelmsford. You will ensure the delivery of high‑quality peri‑operative care in a state‑of‑the‑art environment, while fostering strong relationships with consultants, senior staff and patients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and direct the theatre team to achieve excellence in patient care.
• Maintain and optimise theatre facilities, including laminar airflow systems and integrated technology.
• Build collaborative relationships with consultants, senior clinicians and allied health professionals.
• Drive performance, support new hospital initiatives and promote continuous improvement.
• Oversee teaching, assessment and professional development of staff.

Required profile

• Registered clinical practitioner with the appropriate governing body (NMC or HCPC).
• Proven experience managing a busy theatre environment.
• Teaching and assessment experience is highly desirable.
• Current ILS and ALS certifications.
• A professional management qualification is an advantage.

Required skills

• NMC registration (or HCPC registration).
• Experience in theatre operations management.
• Immediate Life Support (ILS) certification.
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
