About the role
Join the Theatre department at Woodlands Hospital, Kettering, as an Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse. You will work in state‑of‑the‑art operating theatres, supporting surgeons during a range of orthopaedic procedures while upholding the highest standards of patient safety and sterility.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a sterile theatre environment for orthopaedic surgeries.
- Assist surgeons by handling instruments, sutures and equipment during procedures such as hip and knee arthroplasty and ACL reconstruction.
- Ensure all required supplies and implants are available and correctly accounted for.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to verify patient identity, consent and surgical site.
- Document procedures and maintain accurate theatre logs.
Required profile
- NMC registration with no restrictions.
- Proven surgical scrub experience in orthopaedics, including hip arthroplasty, knee arthroplasty and anterior cruciate ligament surgery.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexible, positive attitude and empathetic character.
