About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Theatre Scrub Practitioner to join the supportive theatre team at The Cherwell Hospital. You will play a vital role in delivering high‑quality treatment and exceptional patient care for orthopaedic and ophthalmology procedures. This is a permanent, full‑time position offering a competitive salary and a strong work‑life balance.
Key responsibilities
- Provide scrub support for orthopaedic and ophthalmology surgeries.
- Maintain a sterile field and assist the surgical team throughout procedures.
- Contribute to the delivery of high‑quality patient care within the operating theatre.
Required profile
- NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions.
- Proven surgical scrub experience in orthopaedics and/or ophthalmology.
- Surgical First Assist Qualification (desirable but not essential).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible, positive attitude and a warm, empathetic character.
Required skills
- NMC registration.
- HCPC registration.
- Surgical scrub experience – orthopaedics.
- Surgical scrub experience – ophthalmology.
- Surgical First Assist Qualification (optional).
