Therapist – Children’s Homes (North East England)

About the role
Join a multidisciplinary clinical team delivering therapeutic support across two children’s homes in Houghton‑Le‑Spring. You will work directly with young people who have complex needs, including developmental trauma, neuro‑developmental conditions and special educational needs.
Key responsibilities
- Provide individualised therapeutic interventions based on clinical assessment and formulation.
- Assess mental health of young people and contribute to personalised care plans.
- Support educational and residential staff to create therapeutic living and learning environments.
- Deliver counselling sessions and give feedback on progress.
- Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary colleagues to ensure joined‑up care.
Required profile
- Qualified therapist with experience working with children and young people.
- Ability to build rapport and engage effectively with vulnerable individuals.
- Commitment to ongoing clinical supervision and professional development.
