Threat Detection Engineer – Hybrid/Remote

About the role

Join a fast‑growing biotech company that leverages large‑scale genetic data and AI to advance precision healthcare. As a Threat Detection Engineer you will design and implement high‑impact detection capabilities that protect sensitive genomic and AI‑driven data across cloud and SaaS environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and tune threat‑led detections using threat intelligence and hunting outputs.
• Create novel analytic techniques and automated reporting dashboards in Microsoft Sentinel.
• Collaborate with an outsourced SOC partner to maintain a comprehensive detection catalogue.
• Ensure monitoring coverage across Azure, Kubernetes, SaaS applications and internal systems.
• Support ISO 27001 initiatives and KQL‑based security tasks.
• Document detection logic, processes and tooling.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Threat Detection Engineer or in a comparable security role.
• Strong analytical mindset with a proactive, collaborative approach.
• Ability to work autonomously from concept through deployment.
