About the role
We are seeking a Tier 2 SOC Analyst to join a growing Managed Service Provider in Reading. You will be the escalation point for Tier 1 analysts, handling investigations from start to finish across a diverse customer portfolio.
Key responsibilities
- Triaging and analysing SIEM and EDR alerts.
- Leading incident response and threat‑hunting activities using the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
- Fine‑tuning detection rules to reduce noise.
- Mentoring junior analysts and enhancing playbooks and runbooks.
- Collaborating with customers across multiple sectors.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years experience in a SOC or MSSP environment.
- Hands‑on experience with SIEM, EDR and Microsoft 365/Entra ID security.
- Proficiency in KQL or PowerShell scripting.
- Experience in phishing and malware triage.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Security+, SC‑200, BTL1 or equivalent certifications are a plus.
