Town Planner – Exeter

About the role

Our client, a respected planning consultancy based in Exeter, is seeking a Town Planner to join their team. The role offers the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of residential, rural and agricultural projects, contributing to the development of sustainable communities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit planning applications and appeals.
• Undertake site development appraisals and feasibility studies.
• Liaise with clients, land owners and developers to gather information and provide updates.
• Ensure proposals comply with local planning policies and regulations.
• Support project teams throughout the planning process, from initial concept to final approval.

Required profile

• Proven experience preparing planning applications and appeals.
• Background in consultancy, housebuilding or local authority planning.
• Ability to manage multiple projects across residential, rural and agricultural sectors.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
