Trade Counter Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and proactive Trade Counter Assistant to join our client’s team in Welham Green, Hertfordshire. The role blends customer service, sales support and hands‑on duties involving trailers, roof racks and cycle carriers.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries by phone, email and face‑to‑face in a professional manner.
• Provide product information and technical guidance on trailers, roof racks, cycle carriers and related accessories.
• Support sales and after‑sales activities, including trailer hire, servicing hand‑overs and collections.
• Fit roof racks and cycle carriers where required.
• Collaborate with colleagues to resolve queries and ensure excellent service delivery.

Required profile

• Previous experience in customer support, sales or the motor‑trade sector.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience using CRM systems and solid IT proficiency.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to undertake manual handling of trailers and automotive accessories.
• Full right to work in the UK.
