Trade Mark Paralegal – London

About the role

Our client, a leading European intellectual property firm, is seeking an experienced Trade Mark Paralegal to join its London office. You will support senior fee earners and partners in managing trademark portfolios for high‑profile international clients, handling the full lifecycle of trade mark applications and related matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage UK, EU, international and foreign trade mark and design applications from filing to registration.
• Prepare and file assignments, renewals, licences, ownership changes and other recordals.
• Draft and file opposition notices, extensions of time and respond to official objections.
• Gather documentation for witness statements and contentious matters.
• Monitor critical deadlines, maintain diaries and ensure timely action.
• Prepare client correspondence, reports and formal communications.
• Handle billing, cost estimates and liaise with finance teams.
• Maintain accurate records in line with data protection and confidentiality requirements.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Trade Mark Paralegal in a private‑practice IP firm.
• Experience supporting partners and fee earners on a broad range of trade mark matters.
• Completion of the CITMA Paralegal Course.
• Strong working knowledge of UKIPO, EUIPO, WIPO and international trade mark procedures.
