Trade Operations Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Trade Operations Specialist to join a large‑scale Trade Finance migration project within a global banking environment. The role involves supporting the transfer of trade facilities, transactions and guarantees, ensuring accurate migration and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review trade finance facilities, transactions and guarantees.
• Conduct preliminary operational and documentation checks.
• Validate client, transaction and facility data.
• Interpret legal and operational documentation.
• Update and maintain records across internal systems, including Loan IQ.
• Identify and investigate discrepancies and exceptions.
• Liaise with operational stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.
• Support migration activities while meeting demanding deadlines.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Trade Finance Operations.
• Strong understanding of trade finance products such as Letters of Credit and Guarantees.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

What we offer

• Hybrid working model – 5 days onsite initially, reducing to 3 days onsite.
• 6‑month initial contract with strong extension potential.
• Pay rate of £350 per day via umbrella.
