About the role
We are seeking a motivated trainee to support our Quantity Surveying team in Southwark. This full‑time position offers hands‑on experience in cost control, procurement and contract administration, ideal for anyone building a career in construction finance.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets and tender documents.
- Support valuation of works completed on site and prepare interim payment applications.
- Help identify and manage variations and change orders.
- Maintain accurate records for project cost tracking.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers and clients under supervision.
- Assist in procuring sub‑contractors and materials.
- Support final account preparation and settlement.
- Contribute to risk, value management and cost‑control processes.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry standards.
Required profile
- Strong work ethic and accountability.
- Ambitious with a desire to grow within the business.
- Working towards a degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
