Trainee Bus Driver – Full Paid Training

About the role

Join Arriva London as a Trainee Bus Driver and receive fully paid training to become a qualified driver. You will help keep London moving, transporting thousands of passengers safely each day while learning the skills needed for a long‑term career in public transport.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a bus safely on assigned routes once qualified.
• Provide excellent customer service to passengers, assisting with enquiries and ensuring a comfortable journey.
• Follow all health, safety and regulatory requirements while on duty.
• Maintain punctuality and reliability for scheduled services.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old.
• Full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 6 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Positive attitude, reliability and professionalism.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Required skills

• Valid UK driving licence.
